This full-time, 660-hour program consists of nine modules and will prepare students to work in a veterinary hospital where they will be working with animals and people on a daily basis. Students will learn how to be an integral part of a small animal hospital as a Veterinary Administrative Assistant. As a qualified front line assistant, they will be learning how to be a top notch receptionist with above average people skills and will be capable of running the front desk, including answering the phones and booking appointments. Students will also be learning some of the skills to assist with the animals that come in for care, whether they are injured, sick, or aggressive. Students will learn how to become the face and voice of a veterinary hospital or clinic.
When to apply
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year for entrance to the Fall semester only. Qualified applicants are considered for the next intake in which there is space. See Continuous application process for more information.

Graduation requirements
Students must achieve a grade of 75% in each course to be eligible for the practicum and to receive their certificate. Successful completion of both theory and practicum must be achieved to obtain the certificate.
Maximum length of time to complete program
Students must complete the program requirements within three years.
